Radio communication via electromagnetic waves (though modulation and radiation)AM amplitude of carrier wave is varied in accordance with the modulating signal (commonly housing talk oriented programming)FM varying the instantaneous frequency of the wave resulting in impressed data on alternating current waves (higher sound quality, common for music stations)Satellite Radio digital radio provided by companies with satellites in orbit that beam retransmitted content back and forth to and from on-earth studios (highest quality of talk, music, tomfoolery, what-have you)Internet Radio audio is digitized and split into small pieces for transmission across the web, where it can be streamed from a server and reassembled by a computer or receiver on the other end (though it sounds like radio, it is not technically radio in the purest sense)Podcast an audio file created to sounds like a traditional radio show that can be downloaded or delivered to a listening device (increasing popular for talk radio)
